Jæja þá er bloggið farið af stað og ekki seinna en vænna örfáir dagar í brottför og ekki hægt að segja annað en að það sé kominn spenningur í mig og mína. Keyrt verður austur á Höfn á sunnudaginn og alveg ljóst að veður hefur ekki verið næilega gott uppá síðkastið til að byrja svona leiðangur en við treystum að það vori fljótt og hitni vel í þessari viku. En eitt er alveg ljóst að ég er klár og bíð spenntur eftir fyrsta róðrardegi, ég hef verið að undirbúa þetta núna í 1 ár og verður það eflaust skrítin tilfinning að róa fyrstu áratökin í ferðinni. En auðvitað er líka komið smá stress en það er af hinu góða held ég þá veit ég að þetta er að bresta á.

Eventually I start blogging, now there are only few days until I start my expedition and I’m more than excited and so is the people around me. I will drive to Höfn í Hornafirdi on Sunday, it is quite clear that the weather has not been in my favor recently. If it keeps up this way it will offer a tough start to my expedition, but of course we hope and pray for a positive change. But one thing is absolutely clear – I am ready and waiting excitedly to paddle in to the first day of the expedition. I’ve been planning this for a 1 year now and it will undoubtedly be a strange feeling to start paddling into the first day, of many. But of course there is also a bit of excitement and “stressed moments” allready – but Ionly take it as a good sign, as it also makes me more aware of, that the start is comming closer and closer.
